    Hypnosis/Hypnotherapy

    What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a heightened state of awareness called a Trance. While in the hypnosis state the body and the conscious mind are deeply relaxed and attention is highly focused. Your subconscious mind remains awake and is receptive to suggestion.

    How does it work?

Your conscious mind is like a gatekeeper to the subconscious mind protecting it from what the conscious mind perceives as threatening and confusing. The problem is that sometimes an experience you may have had translates into a behavior or habit (patterns) that may have once worked for you or that was misinterpreted and is now causing great problems in your life (unhealthy patterns).  In the state of hypnosis your conscious mind relaxes allowing communication directly with your subconscious mind. There, we can access the patterns that are causing disruptive, unproductive behavior and thoughts and then learn new thoughts and behaviors (healthy patterns).

    Is it safe?

Yes. The hypnosis trance state is comparable to daydreaming. You are fully conscious, but you tune out everything else around you. Like being totally emerged in a movie or game and everything else fades into the background. In therapy an experienced supportive hypnotherapist guides you through the process. You are a willing participate and the one making the decision to change.

    Does it really work?

Yes, and people find it to be a rewarding experience because they are relaxed while uncovering unhealthy patterns and they learn new healthy patterns quickly.

    Does Online Hypnotherapy work?

Yes! Studies have shown that online sessions are just as effective as in person sessions. Many people prefer the convenience of their home stating they feel more relaxed. Additionally, they liked not having the stress of traveling and sitting in waiting room for the appointment.
